First-aid kit probe turns up heat. Consumer Protection and Australia Post
recently seized approximately 150 unsolicited letters from Employment
Protection Australia, due to concerns businesses would think the letter was
from a government agency and that they would be fined if they did not
purchase one of the $259 first aid kits it advertises. Employment Protection
Australia director Bradley Norrish has previously been targeted by authorities
for sending unsolicited letters to small businesses. In November 2002, the
Federal Court found that Internet Registrations of Australia, of which Mr
Norrish was a director, had falsely represented that it was responsible for
registering Internet domain names. Mr Norrish is also a business associate of
Chesley Rafferty, a director of Domain Names Australia, which is currently
facing similar allegations in the Federal Court.… “
